Camp Shoshanah Keeseville, NY
Debbie and I have been working at Camp Shoshanah in the Adirondacks of NY since the first of July. This is a Christian camp which focuses on the teaching of scripture from a Jewish perspective. The founder and most of the teaching staff are Messianic Jews who have accepted Jesus as their Jewish Messiah. It is very informative to hear the Bible teaching with Jewish traditions/culture taken into account.
The Sower men have been working on a new 10,000 square ft. dining room/kitchen/classroom building. I've been wiring the various fire alarm systems and the A/C systems. Lots of wire. We'll be installing sheet rock shortly.
Debbie and the other Sower ladies have been working in the kitchen to help serve the campers who are here this summer. The camp ends August 8 so the cooking will be completed but the ladies will then need to clean cabins and do some painting. We'll miss having three meals a day provided for us for the remainder of the Aug. project.
Our daughter Kimberly and g'daughter Jordan were up for a week between the July and August projects. Had a great time. Debbie took them to Massena to visit friends there for several days.
We'll be heading to America's Kessick in NJ for September. We've not been there before. It's is a rehabilitation facility for men who have drug and alcohol addictions. Everyone says it is a very worthwhile project.
